MAIN ACTIVITIES & BENEFITS

• Conduct and endorses seminars, workshops, forums, luncheon meetings and tea talks on current issues and topics of interest to public listed companies from time to time.

• Participation in the Securities Commission Annual Dialogue (SCAD) where policy matters are deliberated and where FPLC makes its own presentations on topical subjects. Ongoing meetings are being held with various Divisions of the SC on matters of concern.

• The Federation represent members in continuous dialogues with the KLSE on the Listing Requirements and matters of concern. FPLC's views have also been sought on various proposed issuance of the KLSE Practice Notes among others.

• FPLC played an active role towards the establishment of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) and the Financial Reporting Foundation (FRF) under the Financial Reporting Act 1997.

• Members are continually updated on important legislations and regulations affecting public listed companies via the Federation publication Capital Review and also Members' Circulars.

• Quarterly CEO Cocktails are being held for members and regulatory bodies to interact with each other and for networking. A prominent guest speaker is usually invited to address the occasion.

• Participation in the Company Law Forum (CLF) on matters pertaining to the Companies Act 1965 and its subsidiary legislations.

• Participation in the annual National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) in presenting the "Efficiency Service Awards (ESA)".

• FPLC carries out research work including surveys on areas of concern to members and the industry.

• Trade and investment missions to countries of interest for members are being organised since 1996.

• On the social side, FPLC has been holding a joint annual sports event with the KLSE since 1990 - the "ANNUAL Bursa Malaysia - FPLC GOLF TOURNAMENT & DINNER / LUNCHEON" whereby His Majesty, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong is the Royal Patron.
